About the club

What is The Pomegranate Post?

The Pomegranate Post is a Jewish connection club for children ages four through ten.

Club members receive handcrafted, sticker-filled envelopes connected to Jewish holidays, along with printable activities during the months between physical mailings.

Every mailing is designed to help children experience more Jewish joy, curiosity, connection, and belonging.

The club is created for children ages four through ten, from approximately late preschool through fifth grade.
There is one shared version of each mailing. Younger children may need help reading or completing certain activities, while older children can participate more independently.

The Pomegranate Post is not a formal curriculum or replacement for religious school.

It is a joyful, creative way for children to explore Jewish holidays, traditions, values, stories, symbols, Hebrew words, music, food, and culture.

The activities are intended to complement whatever Jewish experiences a child already has.

The Pomegranate Post welcomes children from many kinds of Jewish families and with many different levels of Jewish knowledge.

Some club members may attend Jewish schools or synagogues. Others may live far from a Jewish community, belong to interfaith or less traditional families, or be the only Jewish child in their school or neighborhood.

Children do not need any previous knowledge to enjoy the club.

What children receive

What comes in a physical envelope?

Every envelope is a little different, but mailings may include:

  • Jewish stickers
  • A letter for club members
  • Creative activities
  • Small art prints
  • Jewish facts, words, songs, stories, or traditions
  • Family conversation prompts
  • An activity that encourages connection with someone else

The contents change throughout the year so that every envelope offers something new to discover.

The current schedule includes seven physical mailings throughout the year, arriving approximately every two months.

The timing follows the Jewish calendar, so the exact space between envelopes may vary slightly.

During months without physical mail, printable activities are sent by email.

These may include coloring pages, recipes, art projects, puzzles, games, songs, poems, stories, Hebrew words, and family activities.

The activities arrive digitally but are designed to be printed and enjoyed away from a screen.

The physical envelopes provide a completely hands-on experience.

Children can open the mail, peel the stickers, color, create, display the art, complete activities, and share pieces with other people.

Printable activities are delivered by email, but they are designed for families to print and use offline.

The mailings are created in small batches. The stickers, letters, art prints, postcards, and activities are printed, cut, assembled, and packed by hand.
